Our Pitch for Project! - Short Film

Image
We've been tasked with a Short Film that's supposed to be the length of five minutes. I am working with a group and spent about 2 days brainstorming and came together with ideas and we collectively decided on a product.    Our main pitch and film will be about a man and his wife whom he has just killed. She's been put in the trunk of his car and it will begin with the male actor closing the trunk. Afterwards he's being mentally strained and traumatized with overwhelming guilt to where hes hallucinating his dead wife in his car and around him. Playback's of their memories together will be shown to develop character relationship. The woman's dialogue will be her soothing/downplaying the situation because his subconscious is trying to relieve him of guilt. He'll be completely overwhelmed.    Over the entire course of last year, I did all the projects alone and it was convenient and my main preference due to my busy schedule. I personally LOVE the individual freedom I get when getting creative and producing something I can be proud of. Especially with doing school at home and being separated. I also wanted to be safe for my family and reduce the amount of people I'm around due to Covid-19.      This year, I'm branching out and starting the year a bit differently. I will be working in a group with Cole Roberts and Samuel Silva, making us a group of three. We all are involved in extra-curricular activities and very integrated in sports, through this I feel like we have a mutual understanding of each other's schedules.      I've known Cole throughout high-school and we both are hardworking, high achieving students. We've worked together on math assignments and are good friends. Finding out we were both in the A-level course acknowledge...

Intro to Year Two!

Welcome back to my blog for another year! My name is Tanicha Amy Saintigene and I am now a senior at fort Lauderdale High School. Last year I took Media studies As level as a junior. I enjoyed the course in AS level and would like to further my knowledge in media studies because I might be integrated in this field in my future. Last year we did three film projects from a commercial, to a music video, to an actual movie opening. I learned amazing film and editing skills that I can reapply to my upcoming projects with improved quality.  It's also very interesting how the traits learned in this class become habitual where I'd watch a movie and make mental notes of certain camera angles or lighting methods are being used. The Cambridge exam was so fun and not many can say that for a rigor's college level exam. A clip from Killing eve was used for the exam and I went home and binged the entire show and it was awesome in itself as well as the acting, direction, and p...
