Introduction to the Music Video Project

 Welcome to the beginning of an amazing project. I've been assigned to create a music video for a song of my choice. My instructors have equipped us with a timeline and ways to plan so I believe everything will be awesome! The video has to be 1 minute in total. We were given the option to work in groups however I choose not to. I'm a loner and can become very bossy. For a project like this, I want to be in full charge of the creative process, directing, and producing. I also love my freedom of doing this however I want without needed input or reports from someone else. From picking the song to the days I want to film all depends on me and no one else. 
Choosing a song is very hard. I have so much favorites. My top 4 for this project are "Claudia" by FINNEAS, "Boys Aint It" by SAYGRACE, "Backyard Boy" by Claire Rosinkranz  and "Do It" by Chloe x Halle. I 100% love POP and upbeat music which was my automatic choice of genre for this project. Through this genre you can feel chill, excited, heartbroken, or free all in one. I plan on relaying that feel through my music video.
In conclusion, I finally choose my song. Which will be, "Boys Aint It" by SAYGRACE. This song is a total vibe and has been one of my favorite songs for over a year now. This song is about boys/men having bad traits that eventually led her to give up on them and move on with her life. This song flows with ease and feels like a girl's night out. I'm excited for what's to come with this project!

The song I choose was "Boys Aint It," by SAYGRACE. This song falls under the huge, trendy, genre of POP! This genre is most commonly used amongst teens and young adults. Through this many artists get to share their vibe, personality, and emotions while having fun. With its range, Pop music branched out to disco and contemporary R&B. In my song election, it has music breaks of disco beats, lyrics similar to contemporary R&B and the perfect feel of Pop.  Pop music videos usually have these conventions: MISE EN SCENE - Bright colors, Bright lights, Fashionable Clothing, Nice accessories, and Good make-up. Planning Storyboard for my Sunglass Hut Commercial

  Creating a storyline for my commercial goes right along with my vision. I've looked at other commercials from Sunglass Hut to get an overview and inspiration of what I'd like in mines. I hope I'm not reaping more than I can sow.  For the beginning of the video, I want to have a variety of glasses pop up on the screen in a random order just blinking over each other. Its a cool and flashy into automatically grabbing the audience's attention.  Then have someone walking outside near trees or just in front of the mall with different angles and shoots. Ill do these in a long or aerial shots for range then zoom in on the glasses. Maybe it'll include an outfit change during this shoot for versatility. In the third box, I want someone driving, and once the sun shines SUPER BRIGHT, the actor will grab some trendy glasses and smoothly put them on and smile. Working on the Social Media Pages

  Switching back over to the Marketing portion of the movie is really fun! Today I posted onto the Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts. I posted the same content on Twitter and Instagram that there are four days left until the movie is released!! Additionally, I posted that our Movie Trailer that I created on Tuesday is available to watch exclusively on the website.  On Instagram, I might post the full trailer through reels to provide an alternative watching method and bring some footage to the audience. It's only 37 seconds long so I'm sure it'll fit. I also posted the singular post of the countdown! I will be posting for the remainder of the time until our official movie drops. On that day, I'm planning and creating special graphics and posters through the Canva platform to be more like an actual Movie Release.
