Short Film Research: The Gallery

The Gallery is 8 minutes long and is a drama about losing/figuring out your self-identity. The main character is a women that has entered an audition for a career however mid-way through she no longer wants to be there. The film sticks to short film conventions as it has one setting the entire time and is carried by dialogue and acting. The women looks frustrated, confused, and indecisive as time goes on and the major twist is when she finally gives in to her expression and leaves the audition and see her judge also outside. The actions are a bit rhetorical and can be laughed at as the drama heightens. Her acting carries the scenes and in the beginning her silence while the director rambles can be a hint on non-interest.
