Additional Filming for Music Video

Another day and more filming!!! I am back in Florida and can now use the location I'm familiar with to my advantage. I got to incorporate and film some of my initial ideas from my storyboard. I feel like everything is coming together, and piecing it together will be awesome.

  • Baskin Robbins (Coral Springs, FL) - As said before, I wanted to get milkshake from Baskin Robbins to be a prop in my video because it connects to the lyrics. I also wanted to include this because its a fun location and connects to the pop convention.! While at Baskin Robbins, I was able to film the milkshake alone then doing more with it in the video. Afterwards, I filmed the actor singing to the lyrics while in the store. Because we went around 4pm, the sun was bright and we used natural lighting for all of these scenes. I recorded off my phone and directed the actor by giving instruction and specifying lyrics for the them to mouth. I got multiple angles and different backgrounds.
  •  Veterans Park (Oakland Park, FL) - This is a park surrounding a large lake with a beautiful view. It wasn't initially in my plan, however I improvised and used it while I was out. I wanted to film at the beach but I wouldn't have made it in time to catch the sun before sunset so I changed direction. At this park, I filmed the same actor walking, dancing, and singing, along to the song. We had different backgrounds and scenery for each shot with natural lighting. I filmed from many different angles. Afterwards, we switched and I became the actor. I sang along to the song wording it as the artist. With this park having good views, I again filmed the scenery for transition and filler purposes.
  • Various Locations (Broward County, FL)  - I was able to film the phone-call scenes of my friends/actors in their rooms. I had the camera directly in front of them and used lamps for lighting. I filmed multiple shots while directing them of how dramatic they have to be and the use of body language.
It was a GREAT! Productive day of filming. Tune in for the next one!   : )
