Comparing 9, the Short and 9, the Full-Length Movie

I've watched both versions of the 9 film, short and full. Overall, both films were interesting and would do an efficient job of keeping viewers engaged.

Short Film - 7:07

The short film was exceedingly quick. I couldn't understand and quickly grasp what was going on because from beginning to end it was high intensity and climax scenes.

Full-Length Film - 1:19:24

The full movie was amazing. With everything planned out and plot twists coming randomly, I was truly interested. The twists weren't basic where someone could've guessed what would happen next.

With a developed film like this, it truly shares and defines the difference of a short films goal and effectiveness. After watching the full length film, all the information shared and scenes that occurred made couldn't have been known of interpreted just by watching the short film. The short film began where #5 was getting grabbed by the robots and devoured. Following, the film relied on the thrills of #9 being caught from being chased through obstacles by the robot as well. At the end, #9 released the souls which was the ending resolution for both films because this is a major part of the plot.
The full length film gave time for viewers to be taken and narrated through a timeline. Past events significantly impacted the current events that were running through the movie and this longevity proved the lack and absence of a leader. #9's character development and character relationships were built over time by his role of being the protagonist and believer with hope. While being reliable and carrying integrity this development made the character grow and made others rely on him at the most unexpected times.
#9 woke up to this new and strange world where his kind is being hunted and this introduces the movie in which he chronologically meets new characters that join his journey to freedom. He faces backlash, friends killed, lack of resources, restrictions, running for his life and missing information however these gaps were left by the creator to input plot twists. More time allowed the story to develop and be better interpreted.
